PHP code within HTML file

Hello learners!

Today, the first step towards server side scripting is PHP. The PHP is very popular web scripting language which execute on server. So any web server will be required to test PHP scripts. PHP can also be written within HTML file. But it won't work without some configurations.

Students are facing problems when they write php code within html file(.html extension) and try to check output. They will get all html output, but not php. If they save file with .php extension, then it works fine.

 Example code

Output with only html code

Mostly we use xampp or wampp (with apache server) to run PHP scripts. So let me show you how to configure server to run php code within html file.

If you are using xampp, open the file
C:\xampp1\apache\conf\extra\httpd-xampp.conf
You can open this file in any text editor as it is plain text file. When you open it, you will find some code as following screen shot,

See, there is only php extensions' entries. As we want to support html extension for php code, we need to create html's entry also. So copy 1st block of FilesMatch tag and paste as 3rd block. After paste, change the extension string from .php to .html.  Check the following image,

conf file after edit.

Now, save the file and if apache is runnig, restart it. Now check the output again in browser. The html and php both output will be there.

Output after configuration.

Notes: Do at your risks. Backup your files before making any changes.

Polaris Classes Jamnagar

POLARIS CLASSES, Jamnagar

I am the computer science person. I like to create programs and explore machines. But its not only limited to learning, It goes to sharing and teaching also. So I run my educational institute in Jamnagar as Polaris Classes.

The Polaris Classes is an computer science tutorial classes. We teach BCA, MCA, PGDCA, Computer Engineering etc courses. All the theory and practical subjects are taught. Upto now I have taught Computer Fundamentals, Computer Organisationa and Architecture, Assembly language programming, C, C++, Java, PHP, ASP.NET, C#.NET, Visual Basic, System Analysis and Design, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Engineering, Computer Graphics, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Networking technologies etc. All the subjects are taught only by me to provide best quality education.

The teaching techniques involves lectures by PPT, live coding and executing example programs, lots of graphics and animations, group discussions, personal interactions, demonstration of hardware and devices. Most of the teaching materials are created by me. All the lecture PPTs are created by me. I download some graphics from internet for quick, while most of graphics and animations are also created by me. All the example programs I teach on my big screen with execution check. When some topics like networking, fundamentals etc has some hardware related topics, So I demonstrate real hardwares like Hard Disk, Floppy disk, Processor, RAM, different cables, connectors, circuits/cards etc. My friend Ramesh Dangar provides very nice support for hardware. He is expert in computer repairing and maintenance.

The Polaris Classes has the concept of Joyful Learning, So we ogranise different Cocurricular activities programs. Programs like picnic, astronomical observations, music, day celebrations, social program etc. Upto now we had organized picnic programs at Kileshwar(2015) and Narara(2014,2015). The bird rescue program was organized to save birds injured by strings during Makarsankranti festival in Jamnagar.

Polaris Classes is close since 20-Oct-2017.

Polaris Classes is also listed in
JustDial: Polaris Classes JustDial

Marine Creatures - Gulf of Kutchh

The Gulf of Kutch has 42 islands with reach marine lives and vegetation. Narara, Pirotan and Poshitra are the main spots for visitors, as they are easily reachable. I like to explore the marine life as one of my hobbies.

I have visited many times and found many species of sea creatures. Most of them are common and some are rare. Mostly I keep camera or cell phone with me to record them in snaps. I explored the web for learning about marine creatures identification, behavior, their life etc. I learn and study because I want to tell others about their importance and conservation.

But I did not found any website that give good details of Gulf of Kutchh's lives, which details I want to see. So, for the enthusiasts, I am posting my pics collection here. So the species which are commonly found in Marine National Park can easily be found in a single page. I will update this blog fore more information soon.

There are many photos yet. But I will keep uploading and updating whenever I get time. I will also upload details of each creature.

Me, as a computer virus hunter!

Welcome.

As we hear the "Virus", we immediately think of "oh shit!!". Most peoples think that computer virus totally destroy computer. But that might not be true. As I am the computer science person, I am surrounded with so many people having laptops and desktops. Most of them are computer students. They keep sharing of their programs, assignments, reading materials like ppt & pdf files to one another with medias like pendrive and memory cards.

When you insert your pendrive or memory card into computer, and if your computer has virus, that virus will try its best to enter into pendrive or memory card. Its intention will be to be spread using such medias. So when you insert this pendrive or card in another computer, the most probably this computer will be affected by this virus.

Today there are so many free and paid antiviruses are available. But they need to be updated continuously. Because viruses are created almost everyday. So people get infected in PC or laptop easily by surfing internet or by using infected storage medias.

The problem with me was started in 2009 when I was student of computer science. We had a dedicated lab for internet. When I used my pendrive there, most of time it was infected by viruses. So I started the study of virus' behaviours and how they can be identified. When I could identify them, I thought and experimented to remove them manually, I mean without using any antivirus. Ultimately I started removing most of viruses which I found in my pendrive, my computer, friends' computers and students' computers. When students and my friends got their computer infected by virus, they comes to me.

I have seen that, people come to me for removing viruses even they have a good antivirus. They suffered from virus even they have antivirus, because antivirus is a program and any program has limits.

Upto now, I have removed approx 200+ computer's viruses. Of course, without using antivirus. Ya, I use some tools like cmd, regedit, task manager etc.

Now, Its my passion. When I find any computer with virus infection, I just take it and start hunting for viruses. I like to hunt computer viruses. When I get virus in my pendrive, I just say "hurrrraayyy!"

Thanks.

Digital Photography - Basics

I have seen most of people seen capturing some interesting things. They keep just clicking the scenes, materials, portraits, etc. The reason is that today's mobile phones are having inbuilt digital camera. But these mobile camera has not much functionalities compared to the digital camera. We can capture the moments without learning anything, but we can capture MORE with some learning of digital photography.

The word digital photography says the image clicked will be stored in digital form. The scene infront of camera lens is a collection of colors in its pattern. The camera has the sensor to recognize the color. The sensor has pixels which store 1 dot of color. These collection of pixels create the whole image and store it to storage, i.e. memory card.

The digital camera doesn't just record colors which is infront of lens, but today's cameras having a large number of functionalities. We can create a stunning images of just simple things if we can understand and use properly these functionalities. I am going to show you some basic but important functionalities of digital cameras.

EXPOSURE

At night, when you are going to sleep, you turn all the lights off. At that time you are not able to see anything in room. After just 15-20 minutes, you feel that more you can see.

The camera sensor is the light collector. If the scene is under-light(low light), you can collect more light with extending exposure. Generally the exposure is measured in seconds. So 2sec exposure will be brighter than 1sec exposure. For daylight, exposures range from 1/100 to 1/2000. Exposure is also known as shutter speed. Slower the shutter speed means longer the exposure.

Extending the exposure is not always good idea. When you want to capture moving things, like bike, car, bird etc, the slower shutter speed will cause motion blur in resulting image.

F VALUE

It is also known as aperture. Aperture is the open area of lens during clik. Lower the aperture, less light will enter into camera. So image will be darker. But the benefit of smaller aperture is it will make image more sharp. The term depth of field comes to the picture.

Consider, if you capturing a friend's portrait having a tree in background. If you keep wide aperture as f/3.5 and your friend is on focus, the background tree will be blured. Now if you set aperture as f/16, the tree will be less blured. In f/16 the image will be darker, that can be managed by setting exposure or ISO values.

ISO

It the standard values of light sensitivity. More the ISO value, more the light will be sensed, and resulting image will be brighter. In daytime, generally iso100 is enough. I use iso800 and iso1600 for capturing astronomical images. One drawback of iso is that, more iso gives more noise. So iso1600 will give a huge amount of noise.

Marine National Park - Narara Jamnagar

Star fish at NararaToday I am going to share about the Narara Island. It is approx 60kms West from Jamnagar city. The island is the part of Marine National Park.

The Gulf of Kutch was notified as a Marine National Park in 1980. It is having a rich environment for marine lives. Marine sanctuary is spanning from Okha to Jodiya. While the MNP is the core area. It is having total 42 islands. Narara is one of them.

Before few years, the Narara has been connected through motor-way. So we can reach there through vehicle. Reaching there, you need to take the legal entry permission from MNP office. The coral reef of island is good. You don't need to dive into the water to see the marine life. The reef has approx 1-3 feet sea water in 2 km area during low tide. So the visitors go through walking for marine life. The area is strictly protected under wildlife protection act 1970, So anybody must not harm or disturb any natural material there.

Marine Species

The most common marine spieces found here are Star fish, Brital star, Sea anemons, Sea cucumbar, Sea slugs, Sea turtles, Sea worms etc. Coral species found at Narara are Moon coral, Plate coral, Brain coral, Finger coral etc.

Narara marine walk

Mangove Forest

Narara has also a dense region of Mangroves. The mangroves are the very important chain for environment. There are so many benefits of mangroves for coastal areas. Mangroves retains expansion of salty regions. The mangroves filter the salt water by their roots. There are 6 types of mangroves found here at Narara. They are

1) Avicennia Marina
2) Avicennia Officinalis
3) Avicennia Alba
4) Ceriops Tagal
5) Rhizophora Mucronata
6) Aegiceros  Corniculatum

Birds at Narara

The large variety if birds likes the shore of Narara. Thousands of birds can be found on the sand area. They are Storks (Blake Necked Stork, Painted Storks), Pelicans (Rozy Pelican, Dalmatian Pelican), Sandpipers, Euratian Curlew, Marsh harier, Plovers, Gulls etc.

The forest department organize camping activities for children at Narara. During that camp, children learn and understand about marine life, marine vegetations, eco-system and also wildlife, forests, bird watching, night sky gazing etc. The period of this camping is from December to January approx. The MNP Jamnagar office can be contact for more information and for camp registration during registration period.

Astronomy at Narara camps

I am amateur astronomer. I am doing astronomical activities since 2003. I do the programs for school, colleges, NGOs and also for public. Here at Narara sometimes I come for camp participants to show them the night sky. As these camps are Nature Education Camps, showing the night sky and give them knowledge about stars, constellations, planets etc is very important. I use a 3" Newtonian reflector telescope and show the Moon, Jupiter Moons, Saturn with rings etc to camp participants.

When to visit?

Marine national park of GoK has a huge number of marine species. The reef is having a good marine ecosystem. But during the hot season, the marine creatures generally go deeper. So best season to visit Narara island is the Winter i.e. Dec to Feb.

We can see marine lives just by walking in 1-2ft sea water during LOW tide at Narara. So the low tide timing is only timing to visit Narara. Check the low tide time of Narara before visiting.
